A co-ordinated approach to the decor of your boat can really make your vessel shine. Classic Marine Trimming can assist with all facets of decor, design and styling combined with a huge range of fabric options to make your boat truly special.
We have a large range of boat decor items to add to your boat. These include platters, cheese boards, artificial flowers, cushions, throws, flameless candles and other assorted decorator items specifically chosen with a marine environment in mind.
Virtually any interior upholstery fabric can be used on a boat, however the damp marine environment must be taken into account when choosing a suitable fabric. Generally, fabrics consisting of man-made fibres like polyesters are generally better in a boat than linens or cottons which tend to be less light resistant and are susceptible to rotting in situations of high moisture, which is often present in the marine setting.
Fabrics we consistently use are from companies such as Warwick Fabrics, Zepel, Charles Parsons and Wortley. In some boats, exterior fabrics can be used on internal lounges too or they can be treated to be more water and stain resistant.
Leathers and vinyls are also popular choices for internal upholstery, sporting easy clean properties along with excellent water resistance.
Exterior fabrics have come a long way in recent times and are not only practical, but beautiful too. Outdoor fabric ranges from Westbury, Zepel, Warwick, Wortley, 3 Beaches and Sunbrella boast a massive range of colours and patterns which are sure to suit any boat.
Vinyls such as Ultramarine, Pacifica, Nautolex and Capri are also extensively used particularly in the speed boat and bowrider markets. Again, a large range of colours and patterns are available including a range from Daleys which has carbon fibre style and other sporty textures.
There are a wide range of curtain fabrics available from Nettex, Gummersons, Hoad and Warwick. Triple weave fabrics are great for boats as they dont require lining, but are still blockout.
These are generally the same as curtain fabrics and come from Warwick, Nettex, Gummersons, Zepel and Hoad. Bedspreads are generally quilted and can be made to be able to sleep under so they do not need to be stored away.
Interior fabrics, exterior fabrics, curtain fabrics and upholstery fabrics can be used to manufacture cushions and are often the thing that brings a room together.
