Given the harshness of the Australian sun, many boat owners are opting to install more covers on their boats to protect their various investments. These include covers for tenders, windscreens, lounges and seats, helm stations, dashes, BBQ covers, sunbeds, davets & all over covers – you name it, we can make a custom cover for it!
Mesh screens are also a very popular way of cutting down heat and glare without blocking all of the airflow. There is a wide range of both types and colours of canvases, PVCs, mesh and other materials for covers and screens. Visit us to explore our large range of samples.
To give maximum protection for your boat, an all over cover is ideal. Covers can be made from Sunbrella Plus, but often a light tarpaulin or other light weight material such as Weathermax 80 is the best to use and makes putting your cover on and taking it off easy. Boat vents with a tent pole are a must in some cases to allow ventilation and adequate run off.
Most of our tender covers are made from Stamoid, a light weight PVC with excellent tear resistance which folds away easily for storage when not in use. Sunbrella Plus is also a popular choice of material as you can usually match existing canopies or covers.
Many boat owners are opting for mesh screens to enclose their boats, or a combination of meshes and clears. Mesh screens have the dual benefit of cutting down the heat and glare as well as protecting from annoying biting insects like mosquitoes.
Mesh is available in a single weave, 75% blockout or double weave 95% blockout. There is a large range of colours available so you are bound to find one that suits your boat perfectly.
Tube covers are a great way to protect the tubes on your inflatable boat, especially if your tender hangs off davets at the back of your boat making a traditional tender cover difficult to install. Tube covers are able to be made for any size tender, whether PVC or Hypalon.
Covers can be made to fit any shape or size of seat, lounge or sunbed and offers maximum protection for all vinyl or fabric seating.
Sail covers or sail bags are generally made from Sunbrella. Generally these can be replicated from the existing sail bag, saving time and money.
Custom covers can be made for anything that requires protection. Generally we use Sunbrella, Weathermax 80, Mariner or Stamoid. Covers we have made in past include RFD covers, BBQ covers, Welding machine covers, outdoor kitchen covers (as pictured), wheel covers, light covers, davet covers, stair covers, carpet covers and rail dodgers.
Covers can be made for helm stations, RFDs, BBQs, Davets, lights or anything else requiring sun and / or water protection. Mariner boat hooding, Sunbrella Plus and Stamoid are the most popular for these types of covers. Rail covers are generally made using Sunbrella with a soft backed vinyl underneath to stop any rubbing on timber rails.
